These Legal Terms apply when you access or use Orbit Event Hub. By creating an account, browsing events, joining events, creating events, messaging users, making payments, or otherwise using Orbit, you agree to these terms.

Orbit membership is for adults aged 18 and over only. If a child attends a child-friendly event, the booking and account must be managed by a parent, guardian, or responsible adult aged 18 or over.

1. About Orbit

Orbit Event Hub is a platform that helps users discover, create, organise, and attend social events. Orbit provides the technology platform. Unless clearly stated otherwise, Orbit is not the organiser, host, venue, transport provider, insurer, employer, charity, healthcare provider, or safeguarding authority for events listed by users.

  • Hosts must provide clear information about date, time, location, price, accessibility, cancellation terms, age suitability, and any important risks.
  • Hosts must comply with applicable laws, venue requirements, insurance requirements, licences, safeguarding duties, and health and safety obligations.

5. Attendees

  • You are responsible for deciding whether an event is suitable for you.
  • You must follow venue rules, host instructions, local laws, and reasonable safety requirements.

  • Payment processing may be handled by third-party payment providers.
  • Hosts are responsible for honouring their stated event terms unless Orbit clearly states otherwise.
  • Orbit may refuse, cancel, or reverse bookings where fraud, abuse, error, chargeback risk, or breach of terms is suspected.

7. User content

You remain responsible for content you upload or post, including event listings, images, videos, messages, reviews, comments, reports, and profile information.

  • You must own or have permission to use any content you upload.
  • You must not upload unlawful, abusive, misleading, hateful, explicit, exploitative, infringing, or unsafe content.

9. Safety, safeguarding, and emergencies

Orbit is not an emergency service and does not guarantee user identity, event safety, host suitability, attendee behaviour, or venue conditions. If there is an immediate risk to life, safety, or welfare, contact the emergency services first.

  • Users and hosts must report serious safety concerns to the appropriate authorities where necessary.
  • Hosts running child-friendly, vulnerable-person, support, health-related, or community-care events must ensure they meet any applicable safeguarding, insurance, qualification, or legal duties.
  • Orbit may cooperate with law enforcement, regulators, safeguarding bodies, or payment providers where legally required or where necessary to protect users.

10. No professional advice

Information on Orbit is provided for general event and community purposes only. Orbit does not provide medical, legal, financial, therapeutic, safeguarding, or professional advice. Users should seek qualified professional support where needed.

11. Platform availability

Orbit aims to provide a reliable service, but we do not guarantee that the platform will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We may update, suspend, restrict, or withdraw parts of the platform where needed.

12. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so. Subject to that, Orbit is not responsible for losses caused by user behaviour, host actions, event cancellation, venue issues, third-party services, incorrect listings, personal disputes, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

13. Third-party services

Orbit may link to or integrate with third-party services such as payment processors, email providers, venues, maps, analytics, hosting providers, or external websites. These services may have their own terms and privacy policies.

14. Privacy

How Orbit collects, uses, stores, and shares personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy. By using Orbit, you acknowledge that your personal data will be handled in accordance with that policy.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these Legal Terms from time to time. Where changes are important, we may notify users through the platform or by email. Continued use of Orbit after changes are made means you accept the updated terms.
